When Jesus commands us to “be
...perfect ...as ...Father ...is perfect” [Matthew 5:48], He speaks to us not
just to tell us, but to “do” (or “perform”) it. [Pastor; Isaiah 55:11]
Hence, the invitation to “Take
(His) yoke,” (of prayer and submissive obedience); to find “rest” (or refuge)
from the struggle of 'works' (choosing not to be God).
But, we must “believe” to be
enabled to enter His rest.
[Pastor; Matthew 11:28-30]
Perfection is the end-game, and, “Everything
that we have -– right thinking and right living (ie.
sanctification/purity-kjv), a clean slate and a fresh start -– comes from God
by way of Jesus Christ.”
[Pastor; 1 Corinthians 1:30/msg]
