What Are We Missing?

The answer to this question is so critical to His perfecting (work in) us. [Pastor]

The food source for “man's” biology's (or “outsides”), and his invisibles (or “insides”), is “to hear the voice of the Lord.” For it is written, that “man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.”
[Pastor; Luke 4:4; cf Matthew 4:4]

The completion of “man” is (not about changing our life, but exchanging it) to be able to hear Him ...for ”that which is born of the flesh (outsides) is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit (insides) is spirit.”
[Pastor; John 3:6]

As essential (as our “need” to eat is) to our being; so is our “need” to hear the voice of the Lord. To “need” one is to “need” the other. [Pastor]

ThenSingsMySoul:

WE NEED TO HEAR FROM YOU,
WE NEED A WORD FROM YOU,
IF WE DON'T HEAR FROM YOU
WHAT WILL WE DO?
WANTING YOU MORE EACH DAY,
SHOW US YOUR PERFECT WAY,
THERE IS NO OTHER WAY
THAT WE CAN LIVE.

Jenelsie's Corner (1/24/16)

My Grace and Truth Family,

Paul prayed for the saints at Ephesus and for the "faithful in Christ Jesus"-- that's us as a gathering of believers joined to Christ's body. Petition was made to the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that HE may give us revelation in the knowledge of Him. Paul asked that the eyes of our understanding become enlightened and that we may know what is the ope of His calling... That in the ages which would follow Paul's lifespan, our Father God may show us the exceeding great riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. Paul bowed his knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ that HE would grant us to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man... rooted and grounded in love to comprehend with all the rest of the saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height in Christ Jesus. He asked Father that we may know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that we might be filled with all the fullness of God.

Now unto Him who has done exceeding abundantly above all which Paul asked or even thought according to His power which is at work in us. Unto HIM be glory-amen!!! Hallelujah!!!

Your sister,
Jenelsie, Pastor's wife

A Perfect Man

The “man,” Christ Jesus, was “made perfect/mature”  by the things which He suffered.
[1 Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 5:8]

When the Apostle Paul was being commissioned to become God's chosen vessel to bear His name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: God said, “I will show him how great things he must suffer for My name's sake.” [Acts 9:16]

And, as Paul pressed toward the mark for the prize of his high calling, in Christ Jesus; tomark”/or model the perfect man, his prayer became, “That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death;” [Phil 3:14; Ps 37:37; Phil 3:10]

“As intimacy grows, the very words we speak to Him, He speaks back to us,” saying, “Be ye (being made) perfect, even as your Father ...is perfect.”
[Pastor; Matt 5:48]

ThenSingsMySoul:

OH TO BE LIKE THEE! LOWLY IN SPIRIT,
HOLY AND HARMLESS, PATIENT AND BRAVE;
MEEKLY ENDURING CRUEL REPROACHES,
WILLING TO SUFFER OTHERS TO SAVE.

Being Made Perfect

When Jesus commands us to “be ...perfect ...as ...Father ...is perfect” [Matthew 5:48], He speaks to us not just to tell us, but to “do” (or “perform”) it. [Pastor; Isaiah 55:11]

Hence, the invitation to “Take (His) yoke,” (of prayer and submissive obedience); to find “rest” (or refuge) from the struggle of 'works' (choosing not to be God).
But, we must “believe” to be enabled to enter His rest.
[Pastor; Matthew 11:28-30]

Perfection is the end-game, and, “Everything that we have -– right thinking and right living (ie. sanctification/purity-kjv), a clean slate and a fresh start -– comes from God by way of Jesus Christ.”
[Pastor; 1 Corinthians 1:30/msg]
