Whatsoever Ye Shall Ask

As the Spirit of the Lord gives us “ears to hear,” we are ever learning His “ways.”
[Rom 11:33]

In last Sunday's word, “What Do You Want?” the Lord spoke to our insides about “The Process Of Asking.”

We began to re-discover that the basis for our petition/prayers is NOT what we “think,” BUT what the Father has  “revealed” (aka. what “is”).
[Pastor]

In order that we do not “ask/pray amiss,” our petition/prayer must be with the help of the Spirit;  because the Spirit “maketh intercession for us ...according to the will of God.”
[Jas 4:3; Rom 8:26-27; cf. 1 Cor 14:15]

If Jesus could not speak a word, other than what He heard the Father speak; or do whatever He saw His Father do; what license/liberty do we think we have to speak or do otherwise?
[Jn 12:49; 5:19]

So, until the Spirit reveals What “is” the Father's will, we won't have a clue as to What We “Think” We Want.

ThenSingsMySoul:

IF YOU ABIDE IN ME, AND MY WORDS ABIDE IN YOU;
ASK WHAT YOU WILL, IT SHALL BE DONE UNTO YOU.
HITHERTO HAVE YE ASKED NOTHING IN MY NAME:
ASK, AND YE SHALL RECEIVE, THAT YOUR JOY MAY BE FULL

[Jn 15:7; 16:24]

Random "Acts Of Kindness" Or "Sure Mercies"

There is a difference between a “random/haphazard” act, and a “sure/trustworthy/reliable” act; no matter who the performer is.

It is written: He's the same God today, as He was on yesterday;
AND HE'LL BE THE SAME GOD TOMORROW, AND FOR EVER!
[Hebrews 13:8]

Saying, “For I AM the Lord, I change not.” [Malachi 3:6]

Notice, “kindness” = “mercies,” and mercies = kindness, (lovingkindness, by implication) [Strongs, H2617]

And “sure mercies” are the by-product/or result of an “everlasting covenant” (relationship) between Abba and you. [Isaiah 55:3]

Rather than 'unpredictable,' our God's covenant behaviour, toward us, is predictably obligatory. Because He is 'joined/connected' to us (eternally) He has sworn, by an oath, to forgive, keep and deliver us ...and there is nothing He cannot do.
[Hebrews 6:13; 2 Tim 1:12; Jeremiah 31:33-34; 32:27]

ThenSingsMySoul:

IF HE DID IT BEFORE, HE'LL DO IT AGAIN;
SAME GOD RIGHT NOW, SAME GOD BACK THEN!
IF HE DID IT BEFORE, HE'LL DO IT AGAIN;
SAME GOD RIGHT NOW, SAME GOD BACK THEN!

Jenelsie's Corner (#302)

My Grace and Truth Family:

I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ:  for it is the power of God unto salvation to me in situation after situation, day in and day out.  By the gospel is the righteousness of God--what's right in His eyes--revealed to me.  HE takes me from faith to faith--from "thank You, Lord" to "thank You, Lord."  I have been justified by the blood of the Savior, Jesus Christ--just as if I had never sinned.  Now by His grace I live by the faith of the Son (first begotten) of God.  These words are testimony to HIS LOVINGKINDNESS.

Thank you for believing the Lord with me on last week until I was saved, even delivered, out from affliction in my body.  We have a wonderful Savior!

Also thank you for the beautiful Mother's Day greeting and monetary gift.  We love one another because HE FIRST LOVED US.

I'm His, He's Mine

I AM MY BELOVED'S AND HE IS MINE, HIS BANNER/flag/sign (of ownership) OVER ME IS LOVE.
[Song of Solomon 2:16a, 4b]

Good child or bad child, nothing negates the unbreakable relationship that we have with The Father.

Abba/Father will never disown us; saying, “They shall be mine ...in that day when I make up My jewels.” His love covers a multitude of sins. [Malachi 3:17; 1 Peter 4:8b]

But, beware: “For the Lord corrects and disciplines everyone whom He loves, and punishes ...every son whom He accepts.” Now that's 'tough love.'

Remember, “He that spared not His own Son, but delivered/sacrificed/crucified Him for us all, how shall He/Abba/our Father not with (The Son) also freely give us all things (that pertain to life and godliness)?”
[Hebrews 12:6/AMP; Romans 8:32; 2 Pet 1:3]

“For I am persuaded, that (nothing) neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is IN Christ Jesus our Lord.” [Rom 8:38-39]

ThenSingsMySoul:

OH, HOW HE LOVES US SO,
OH, HOW HE LOVES US;
HOW HE LOVES US SO!
(repeat, as often as necessary)

Jenelsie's Corner (#301)

My Grace and Truth Family,

Sisters and brothers, you can't imagine how many times this week the Holy Ghost has uttered the words, "My banner over you is love."  In one situation I had failed to do something at the job which is required of me.  At another time I was confronted with a financial challenge.  There were also circumstances happening in my family up in Georgia.  And the Lord gave me a "now" moment--in the midst-- when HE made His presence known and presented Himself as all whom HE IS.  Right at the time of His speaking, nerves, anger, and fear were all manifested as "works of the flesh."  Yet HE spoke repeatedly before I really heard HIM.  The Holy Ghost was at work opening my ears to hear and to receive what HE had manifested Himself to give at that "now" moment--HIS LOVE

Out of HIS LOVE, I was comforted, and given success (victory) on the job.  Finances were available to pay the bill; HE supplied the need just as HE promised.  The Lord gave a solution concerning the family member; HE works all things together for good according to His purpose...

What a DADDY!  Hallelujah!

Your sister,
Jenelsie, Pastor's wife
