Teach Us To Pray: Part 3 (10.15.17)

Jesus spake a parable to His disciples to the end that “men ought always to pray,(ask/seek, and knock) and not to faint.”
[Luke 18:1; 11:9-10]

This perseverance in prayer was perfectly modeled by The Lord, before His disciples (for us); so much so that they asked Him to teach them to pray.
[Luke 11:1]

Paul instructed that “The Spirit ...helps our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but The Spirit itself maketh intercession for us ...according to the will of God.”
[Romans 8:26-27]

Its as if God is saying, “I have put IN you, One Who knows My will;” and prayer is not only about an “End” being realized, But ...a “Process” being accomplished.
The proof that (The Spirit) is IN you, is that you do pray.

Jenelsie's Corner (10.8.17)

My Sisters and Brothers,
Our Father's transforming work by the Holy Ghost to conform us to the image of His first begotten, Jesus, is a marvelous thing! This "work in progress" has brought us right up to GTFI's time of celebration, which we now approach with enlightenment from a new paradigm. Seed has been planted and shall bring forth sons and daughters who pray for the ministry and purpose of Grace and Truth according to the "will" of Abba. Holy Ghost will "help" us with our supplications and prayers as He moves us forward in our "calling" as a member of the Body of Christ. We can rejoice with thanksgiving during our gathering to celebrate the faithfulness of our El Shaddai-HE has given Himself to provide and nourish us into maturity as HIS SON!!!

Love in Christ Jesus!
Your sister,
Jenelsie, Pastor's wife

Teach Us To Pray: Part 2 (10.8.17)

The subject Title is “To” Pray; not How To Pray.

While fleshly man has a tendency toward “roteness”/aka routine, in his prayer life; like, “Our Father ...Amen,” God will not be put in a box.
[Pastor]

God gave us His Spirit that we might know Him, intimately [1 Corinthians 2:12] ...and His Life works  IN us by/and through prayer.
[Pastor]

Prayer is man's only life-line/conduit/umbilical cord that gives him direct access into the throne room of The Godhead; at the welcome table of The Trinity.
[Pastor]

Prayer is not getting God to “align” with us, and our agenda; but, prayer is humbling ourselves to “align” with Him: ex. “What would you have me to do?”
[Pastor; James 4:10; Acts 9:6]

 ThenSingsMySoul:

...FOR THINE IS THE KINGDOM,
AND THE POWER, AND THE GLORY,
FOR EVER, AMEN!

Jenelsie's Corner (10.1.17)

My Family at Grace and Truth,

Our Father is "calling," even drawing, us into "knowing" (ginosko) HIM. HE has revealed us His Names, His Life, His Spirit, His Way, His Word, and His Covenant throughout the course of this year. How wonderful HE IS to "share" Himself with us, a member of the body of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Behold, what manner of love our Father has given to us...! Let us worship Him with our thanksgiving, for HE has done great things!

With our Lord's Love,
Sister Jenelsie
Pastor's wife

Teach Us To Pray: Part 1 (10.1.17)

One of the weakest/most critical areas of our Christian life is prayerlessness. But prayer is the “process” of “the journey” of salvation; aka. Life IN the Spirit.
[Pastor; Romans 8:15-16]

It is written, “For ...ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby ...The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.”

Because something (supernaturel) has been added to our (“new creation”) makeup, we have gained the right to re-present Him, versus to represent ourselves (naturally) in our salvation; for no flesh shall glory in His presence. Hence, the need to be taught, to pray.
[Pastor; Luke 11:1]

“Now we have received ...the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God” (to ask/and pray for)(in utter dependence).
[1 Corinthians 2:12; Pastor]

ThenSingsMySoul:

PUT ON THE GARMENT OF PRAISE
FOR THE SPIRIT OF HEAVINESS,
LIFT UP YOUR VOICE TO GOD;
(PRAY) (IN) THE SPIRIT,
AND WITH (THE) UNDERSTANDING,
O, MAGNIFY THE LORD!

[Isaiah 61:3]
