Unpacking "Believe"

If “believe” was a suitcase (aka traveling bag), containing a pilgrim's clothing, and personal articles; the question becomes What are you wearing? “For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.”
[Romans 13:14; Galatians 3:27]

Thus, Abba sends His Word; to further our understanding, that we might come to appreciate the content (aka working) of “believe:” what Father is doing in us NOW (by the Holy Spirit).
[Pastor; Philippians 2:13]

The working of “believe” begins in our invisibles (or our insides), and we “receive” this quickening work thru our ear gate (aka the entrance of/or the “hearing” of His Word).
[Psalms 119:130; Pastor]

ThenSingsMySoul:

WE MUST BELIEVE,
WE MUST BELIEVE IN HIM.
WE MUST BELIEVE,
WE MUST BELIEVE IN HIM.
WE MUST BELIEVE,
WE MUST BELIEVE IN HIM;
AND WE'RE GONNA PRAISE HIS NAME!

Jenelsie's Corner (2/28/16)

My Grace and Truth Family,

How excellent is the name of our Lord to us in all the earth! How excellent is the work of His hands: we are His workmanship! His thoughts and doings toward us proceed out of His perfection and excellence. Our God is without lack or need; HE is complete! So HE brings us in relationship with Him and interacts with us with demonstration of "how HE really is"! HE translates "how HE is", which is so wonderful, to ways we can perceive, receive and believe Him, our Father. Our sure connection to His excellency working in us is through Lord Jesus! Hallelujah!

Behold, What Manner Of Love

But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinner's, Christ died for us (as us).
[Romans 5:8; Pastor]

Lest man put forth his hand and eat of “the Tree” of Life, man was sent forth/or banished from the garden of Eden ...but, from before the foundation of the world, Abba had a plan to bring “the Tree” of Life to us.
[Gen 3:22-23; Pastor; cf John 3:16]

For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world thru Him might be saved.
[John 3:17]

I'm Forgiven, Because You Were Forsaken.
I'm Accepted, You Were Condemned.
I'm Alive And Well, Your Spirit Is Within Me;
Because You Died And Rose Again.

ThenSingsMySoul:

AMAZING LOVE, HOW CAN IT BE
THAT YOU MY KING WOULD DIE FOR ME
AMAZING LOVE, I KNOW IT'S TRUE
(AND) IT'S MY JOY TO HONOR yOU
IN ALL I DO I HONOR YOU

Jenelsie's Corner (02/14/16)

My Grace and Truth Family,

The Lord is bringing to my awareness that there are times when I just sit or lie in bed and consider HIM. I contemplate His acts of lovingkindness toward me; I meditate on "words" of life that He has spoken to me. I think about His transforming work taking place in me. Yet I know that all of this cogitation is because of the new "I" that now exists--"us"--GOD IN ME! Hasn't HE given us a 'wonderful' paradigm!"

"O magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt His Name together!"

Your sister in Christ Jesus,

Jenelsie, Pastor's wife

Our Need For Significance

In a Psalm of David, the king of Israel observed:
“What is man, that Thou art mindful of him? And the Son of man, that Thou visitest him?” [Psalm 8:4]

Significance is the meaning of something, worthy of attention. The reason “The Son of man” (ie. the Word made flesh) became as us was that He might redeem and reconcile us to our Creator.
[Pastor; Galatians 4:4-5; Colossians 1:21-22]

Abba only speaks to us words of His estimation of our significance/importance/or worth to Him ...in other words, “I Love you this much.”
[Pastor]

ThenSingsMySoul:

YOU THOUGHT I WAS WORTH SAVING
SO YOU CAME AND CHANGED MY LIFE
YOU THOUGHT I WAS WORTH KEEPING
SO YOU CLEANED ME UP INSIDE
YOU THOUGHT I WAS TO DIE FOR
SO YOU SACRIFICED YOUR LIFE
SO I COULD BE FREE
SO I COULD BE WHOLE
SO I COULD TELL EVERYONE I KNOW
