Jenelsie's Corner (#264)

My Grace and Truth Family,
The brought an astounding matter to light during the course of the week, and I would like to share it for our edification:
I found myself in the midst of several situations with thoughts pressing against my mind.  The Holy Ghost brought back to memory things HE has taught us and gave the strength to trust our Lord to work in me, through me and for me—or so I thought.  But while I was softly singing “How great is our God”, I heard these words come out of my mouth, “how great are you, Lord?”  I was actually posing a question rather than making a statement.  Then HE revealed to me that in one of those situations my confidence was not in HIS “IS-ness” but in my figuring out how I could make something work.  Oh, how I appreciate the Holy Ghost LIVING in me!  So HE brought me to repentance, and there I was “naked” before HIM!
I began to rejoice that I belong to HIM and to thank HIM again for the chastisement.  The wonderful testimony is how HE strengthened me to trust HIM, waiting on HIM, in manifesting how HE had already worked it out.  Then I began to sing, “How great YOU are LORD!”
Hallelujah!
In Christ Jesus,

"Now Faith," Is Now!

Talk about a new paradigm. It is amazing how 'here after' minded we believers really are; beyond our fixation with prosperity, 'here and now.'

We have been reminded that there is a lot of living to do IN Christ, out from the kingdom, in the world (but “not of the world”), NOW!
[Jn 17:14-15]
The gospel of Christ is the NOW power of God unto salvation to every one that believes; however, “most of us were converted into a gospel that saved us into a bye and bye, LATER focused, viewpoint.”
[Rom 1:16; Pastor]
But, the Spirit says, “we are learning how to live in the very 'presentness' (or NOWness) of God (NOW).” Faith is NOW, and “to believe is NOW.”
[Pastor; Heb 11:1]
When we are joined to eternal life, from that moment of conception, or conversion, if you will, we have been translated into God's 'presentness' (NOWness); and we walk (step, by step) by faith. “Behold, NOW is the day of salvation;” it is a firstfruit that points to more to come, IN Christ.
[Pastor; Col 1:13; 2 Cor 5:7; 6:2; Jn 14:12]
ThenSingsMySoul:
ONE DAY AT A TIME, SWEET JESUS
IS ALL I'M ASKING OF YOU
JUST GIVE ME THE STRENGTH
TO DO EVERY DAY WHAT I HAVE TO DO.
YESTERDAY'S GONE, SWEET JESUS
AND TOMORROW MAY NEVER BE MINE;
LORD, HELP ME TODAY, SHOW ME THE WAY
ONE DAY AT A TIME.

The Will Of God: His Glory: Not Ours

The scriptures tell us that, during His first sojourn; here on earth, Jesus made Himself of “no reputation;” but humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
[Phil 2:8]

John, the Baptist, said of Christ; the Lamb of God, who would take away the sin of the world: “ He [Christ] must increase, but I must decrease.” After all, [His glory] is not about us. Hence, it is written of us; who belong to Christ, that “they loved not their lives unto death.”

“Self (I/me/my) is not the center of attraction.”  Self (I/me/my) must die!
[Jn 1:29; 3:30; Rev 12:11; Pastor]
As the hour of His crucifixion approached, Jesus said, “Father ...not My will, but Thine be done ... glorify Thy name.”
[Lk 22:42; Jn 12:28a]

Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, “I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again”
[Jn 12:28b]
For “I the Lord have called Thee [My Servant] in righteousness, and will ...give Thee for a covenant of the people...and My glory will I not give to another...”
[Isa 42:6, 8]

AND THE HONOR,
