Pentecost: The Fruit vs. The Gifts

The church, at Corinth, is a graphic example of how a person can walk in the “gifts” of the Spirit, but be unable to manifest the “fruit” of the Spirit. For they were charismatic, abounding in the “gifts” of the Spirit, yet carnal; lacking the “fruit” of the  Spirit; which is Love.
[1 Cor 12:7-10; 3:3; Gal 5:22-23]

Hence, there is little profit in working miracles, prophesing, discerning spirits, operating in divers tongues, with the interpretation thereof; speaking words of wisdon and knowledge, without the “fruit” of the Spirit.

Jesus said, “I never knew you;” to those who said to Him, “Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name? and ...cast out devils? and in Thy name done many wonderful works?”
[Luke 10:20]

Proving, once again, that it is not the “gift” that bears witness of the indwelling/abiding  Spirit of God, but Love is the ultimate evidence of the “fruit” of the Spirit.

Remember, “Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”
[John 3:5]

ThenSingsMySoul:

HERE'S MY CUP, LORD,
I LIFT IS UP, LORD,
COME AND FILL THIS THIRSTING IN MY SOUL.
HOLY SPIRIT FILL ME TIL I WANT NO MORE;

HERE'S MY CUP, FILL IT UP AND MAKE ME WHOLE.

"With" - "IN" - "Upon"

In the great commission [Matthew 28:20] Jesus promised His disciples, “Lo, I AM “WITH” you alway, even unto the end of the world.” [cf John 14:17]

And, being assembled together with them, Jesus commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise (of the Spirit; spoken of by John the Baptist). [Acts 1:4-5; Matt 3:11]

Those that He was “IN,” the Spirit came “UPON;” to anoint, (to smear with oil); to bring us into an abiding supernatural relationship ...that we might be partakers of the divine nature. [Pastor; Acts 1:8; 2 Peter 1:4/implied]

note. This was the Father's idea, which Jesus came to facilitate/fulfill/bring to pass. [Pastor]

ThenSingsMySoul:

I WILL BE “WITH” YOU
I'LL BE BY YOUR SIDE,
YOUR CRY FOR DELIVERANCE
WILL NOT BE DENIED.
I'LL FIGHT THE BATTLE
THAT EVIL MIGHT WAGE,
I WILL BE “WITH” YOU, I WILL BE “WITH” YOU

TIL THE END OF THE AGE.

Jenelsie's Corner (#346)

My Grace and Truth Family,

Throughout this week the Holy Ghost has whispered to me that our heavenly Father loves me.  He would speak these words to me at work, in the car, in bed--He knew when I needed to hear them; each time was the "right" time.
The amazing thing that He opened my eyes to see was that the circumstance nor situation did not matter to Him!  I heard Him in the midst of my disappointment, hesitation, questioning, and fear.  I was preparing a salad, pumping gas, walking down the grocery aisle, treating a patient in therapy, and on my knees in prayer.  The Holy Ghost reminded me that GOD IS LOVE all the time!  HE is the same yesterday, today and forever.  We belong to HIM, dear sisters and brothers, and His LOVE will always be towards us.

Hallelujah!!

To "Whom" The Blessing

The scripture concludes that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law ...that the “blessing” of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
[Gal 3:13-14]

The wisdom, foresight, and inclusiveness of God; as our Abba, Father, is reflected in the ordained Leviticus /“Pentecost”/new meat (or meal) offering of the  “two wave loaves;” baked with leaven, and covered with oil (Holy Ghost, implied); for a firstfruit's sin (and peace) offering; to be holy unto the Lord ...Who, in essence, says: “What God has cleansed (by the blood of Christ), do not profane by calling unclean.”
[Pastor; Lev 23:16-20; 2:1; Acts 10:15/AMP]

Each loaf represents the Jew first, and also the Gentile; which would be the first proof that God is “no respecter of persons;” but gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes on the Son should have access to everlasting life.               [Pastor; Rom 1:16/AMP; Acts 10:34; Jn 3:16]

ThenSingsMySoul:

JESUS INCLUDED ME, YES, HE INCLUDED ME,
WHEN THE LORD SAID, “WHOSOEVER,” HE INCLUDED ME;
JESUS INCLUDED ME, YES, HE INCLUDED ME,

WHEN THE LORD SAID, “WHOSOEVER,” HE INCLUDED ME.

Jenelsie's Corner (#345)

My dear Family,

"Behold what manner of love the Father has given unto us..."  HE promised to send the Holy Ghost who would teach us the truth about His love.  And the Holy Ghost reveals, proves, identifies, manifests, and demonstrates our Daddy's love day by day.  It's the Father's good pleasure for us to know that we were chosen in Christ Jesus to be loved. We learn to receive HIS LOVE in being yoked to our Lord and Savior (His yoke is easy) and filled with the Holy Ghost.

Hallelujah for the Day of Pentecost!!!  Let us worship our Holy God!

Pneuma, The Breath Of Eternal Life

There is a breath that animates (or makes alive); “and man became a living soul.” Then there is a breath that quickens (connects to, or energizes eternal life).
[Genesis 2:7; John 20:22]

After the fall, man, though animated, was now “dead” (separated from God) in trespasses and sins; but, after being “saved (from the curse of sin) by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ,” man became a “new creation;” whose “life is now hid, IN Christ, IN God.”                                  [Eph 2:8; 2 Cor 5:17; Col 3:3]

Those that Christ was “IN” the Spirit came “upon” to anoint/(or smear with oil); to bring us into an abiding relationship with the Spirit.
[Pastor; Acts 1:8; John 14:16]

For this purpose, Jesus came to baptize/immerse/fill/endow us with the Holy Ghost.
[Pastor; Matt 3:11; Lk 24:49]

ThenSingsMySoul:

ENDOW ME, ENDOW ME,
ENDOW ME, ENDOW ME, LORD
WITH THE POWER OF THE HOLY GHOST!
