Saved To "Live!" a sidebar

...not to “die,” and go to heaven.
[Pastor]

Jesus prayed: “father, I'm not asking that You take them out of the world, but that You guard them from the Evil one.” [John 17:15/msg]

Escaping, or getting out of, the rigors/tests/or trials of “this life” was never the plan/purpose or intent of God; but bruising the head of the adversary of our souls (aka the devil) was ...remember the “enmity.” [Pastor; Gen 3:15]

When God blessed man and charged him to “replenish,” “subdue,” and “have dominion over” His creation, implicit in those words is the inevitability of opposition; a “fight” (a wrestling/or warfare).
[Pastor; Gen 1:28]

“Until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent (believer, “born again,” into 'the Ring') take(s) it by force.” [Matt 11:12; Pastor]

ThenSingsMySoul:

JUST TO KNOW YOU AND TO MAKE YOU KNOWN
WE LIFT YOUR NAME ON HIGH;
SHINE, LIKE THE SUN MADE DARKNESS RUN AND HIDE.
WE KNOW THAT WE WERE MADE FOR ...MORE
THAN ORDINARY LIFE;
IT'S TIME FOR US TO MORE THAN JUST SURVIVE
WE WERE MADE TO THRIVE!

Saved From "Sins," Not "Trials!"

Jesus, The Word made flesh, was tried (wounded/broken, for our transgressions) and proven (bruised/crushed, for our iniquity/sin) ...and became the example of the outworking of His salvation.
[Jn 1:13; Ps 18:30; Isa 53:5]

That is why we have not a High Priest which cannot be touched with the feelings of our infirmities (or moral frailty); but, in a body of flesh, He was in all points tempted/tried like as we are, yet without sin.
[Heb 4:15]

We are saved, not “from” trials but “through” trials/and tests, for the relationship of “by faith;” that our faith should not stand in the wisdom of man, but in the power of God ...that, though it be tried with fire, our faith might be found unto praise and honor and glory when Christ appears.
[Pastor; 1 Cor 2:5; 1 Pet 1:7]

ThenSingsMySoul:

 I FEEL LIKE GOING ON,
I FEEL LIKE GOING ON;
THOUGH TRIALS COME ON EVERY HAND,

I FEEL LIKE GOING ON.

Jenelsie's Corner (08/23/15)

My Grace and Truth Family,

Do you agree that our Father has brought us into a "higher round" of experience in fellowship with Him? HE has nurtured us out of His LOVE with such care to supply the need HE knows that we have. HIS provision for our growth has taken us from faith to faith. HE has added, as it would please Himself, virtue and knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness, and kindness one to another. Salvation through our Lord has given us all things which pertain to life and godliness... for if these things are in us and abound, then we shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Now be confident in this: He who has begun this good work in us will perform it until the day of the appearing of our Lord again. HIS WORD gives us that LIFE! "I receive your Word... I believe your Word..."
Hallelujah!

Love in Christ Jesus,
Sister Jenelsie
Pastor's wife

Jenelsie's Corner (08/16/15)

My Grace and Truth Family,

"Blessed is the man (or woman) who endures temptations, and trials, and tests, and troubles..." What a "peculiar" paradigm, understanding, concept, idea, and even thought! Yet, God's people are 'built' to endure. When our Lord walked the earth, HE was the embodiment, the express image, of 'enduring'. HE endured the sufferings and shame of the working of sin, being comforted and strengthened on every hand by the Holy Ghost. And His enduring was not perfected until He endured the cross. Then afterwards, He gave the same Holy Ghost to all who received His Life, that in Him we too might overcome the working of sin by the 'Comforter and Strengthener.' Christ Jesus is the 'man' who was (is) blessed. Yet because of our Father's love for His children--His people--HE gave Jesus, who is our victorious blessing for endurance!

Hallelujah!
Your sister,
Jenelsie Howell, Pastor's wife

Call His Name Jesus

The angel of the Lord told Joseph, regarding Mary; “she shall bring forth a son, and thou shall call His name Jesus: for He shall save His people from their sins” (and not from their trials). Selah.
[Matt 1:20-21; Pastor]

On the other hand,
“How …shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed (or said Amen to)? And how shall they believe (or Amen) ...Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?  For faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.”
[Rom 10:14, 17]

If Amen! (or “faith”) was necessary for Abraham; “the father of all them that believe (or say Amen!),” how much more is Amen! (or “faith”) necessary for us?
[Rom 4:11; Heb 11:6]

Hence, whosoever shall call on (Amen!/or believe on) the name of the Lord shall be saved. [Rom 10:13]

ThenSingsMySoul:

I WILL CALL UPON THE LORD,
WHO IS WORTHY TO BE PRAISED!
SO SHALL I BE SAVED FROM MINE ENEMIES;
I WILL CALL UPON THE LORD!

[Psalms 18:3]
