...is the name of the perfume that
her mother bought for her (pastor's wife/Jenelsie), when she was a child; and
put the Tabu on the top of a high chest of drawers; out of Jenelsie's reach; so
that Jenelsie would have to Ask for the Tabu, whenever she wanted to use it
...and, all of these years, Jenelsie had wondered (without ever asking) “If
It's Mine, WHY “Ask” For It?” So, you can imagine Jenelsie's excitement, when
she discovered the topic of Sunday's Word (of the Lord). [Pastor]
Why should we have to Ask for
something/anything that has already been covenantally provided, by Jehovah
Jireh: for instance, “Give us this day our daily bread”
...”Forgive us our sins ...And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from
(the) evil (one).” [Matt 6:11; Lk
11:4]
These are the words of “the man,” Christ
Jesus; who (as a man) tapped into the power (and privilege) of “prayer”
(known as Asking and Receiving). After
all, the Father said to the Son [Ps 2:8]
“Ask of Me, and I shall give Thee...” [1 Tim 2:5; cf Matt 11:28; Pastor]
“Yet ye have not, because ye ask
not.” [Jas 4:2]
