When Jesus preached, “Repent, and believe the gospel (of the kingdom of God),”
He was setting in order the steps to salvation. (to repent/& believe)
[Mark 1:15, 14]
To enter “the kingdom of God” is
to be “saved.” And to be “saved” is to be “born again.” [John 3:3] And to be
“born again” is to be “born of the Spirit.” [John 3:5-6](aka, a new state of being). For Behold, all things
are become new. [Pastor; 2 Corinthinians 5:17]
Lest we forget, it is “godly
sorrow” (a change of mind, regarding sin) that “worketh repentance to
salvation” [2 Corinth 7:10]...to the acknowledging of the truth” (of the gospel
of the kingdom)[2 Timothy 2:25]
As a child of the King (a “new
creation”), “It is your Father's good pleasure to give
you the kingdom.”
[Luke 12:32]
