Just the thought gives new meaning to the real import behind Jesus' words, when He said, “I AM come that (you) might have [My] life ...”
[Jn 10:10]
Are you beginning to get a glimpse at the big picture?
To wit, that the ulterior purpose of the Father; from before the foundation of the world, was to restore His “connection/Spirit/Life” to His redeemed creation; by baptizing us with the Holy Ghost.
[Pastor; Matt 3:11]
On the day of Pentecost, when Peter was asked, “What shall we do [to be saved]?” Peter's reply was, “Repent, and 'be baptized' every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins, and ye shall receive the 'gift' of the Holy ghost.”
[Acts 2:37-38]
The “promise of the Father” was given that we might have a three-fold relationship with the Spirit [of life]: With, IN, and upON us; to remain, and never leave us.
[Pastor; Jn 14:17; Acts1:8]
We like to say, “No Spirit, no life; know [the] Spirit, know life.”

THERE IS A RIVER, WHOSE STREAMS MAKE GLAD THE CITY OF OUR GOD.
IT CAME AND IT HEALED ME,
IT CAME AND IT FILLED ME,
IT CAME, AND IT WASHED MY SINS AWAY;
AND I WILL REJOICE, I WILL REJOICE,
AND BE GLAD!
