To Know "The Will Of God" Is To Know Him

We are learning, “the will of God” is a love relationship/walk with Jesus ...being made one with the Father and the Son.

Not only is Jesus “the will of God” in the flesh [Jn 1:14], He is “the union” of [the connection between] God and man.

[Pastor; Jn 10:30]

Jesus said “No man knows the Father, except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to make Him known.” The same can be said of “the will of God;” for to know the Son is to know the Father's will.

[Matt 11:27/AMP]

Knowledge is “involvement,” and knowing Him involves “participation.” This is why “the Word was made flesh,” to do the will of God; and to be the example of obedience for us, for “to obey is greater than sacrifice.” And our charge is to “follow in His steps.”

[Pastor, Heb 10:5-7; 1 Pet 2:21]

To know Him is to love Him; and, as Pastor said, “Love changes you.” Selah.

My sisters and brothers, just consider what love the Father has shown us in unveiling mysteries and truths which pertain to LIFE in the KINGDOM. Oh, how HE is revealing HIMSELF through our LORD JESUS.

HE has called us out from our daze and slumber to assemble before HIM. HIS PRESENCE is made known to us in the midst of our worship of HIM. HE magnifies HIMSELF to us as we glorify HIM in our songs and words of praise. HE is teaching us and walking us in steps of faith—from faith to faith. We are being awakened unto HIS righteousness; we are being changed!

The Will Of God: Who-What-How "It" Is?

Jesus, Who is the “will of God” personified, came, from the bosom of the Father, saying, “Sacrifices and offerings You have not desired ...instead You have prepared a body for Me [to offer] ...to do [fulfill] Thy will.”

[Heb 10:5,7/AMP]

The Son of man was “made to [superintend], that is, to have dominion over the works of [Abba's] hands.” Hence, we were made, as His “body,” to put our feet on the necks of our [His] enemies [or “put all things under His feet”]. This is What the “will of God” is concerning our engagement/ employment/calling, IN Christ ...to “occupy,” till He returns; or calls us home. Note. “His [our] enemies were whipped at Calvary; but there must be a humiliating/despoiling aspect to our domination,” that the works of the devil might be openly destroyed.

[Ps 8;6; Josh 10:24-25; Lk 19:13; Pastor; cf Col 2:15]

We have been endowed/given His Spirit that we might know/comprehend/understand the mystery of His will; and that He might work IN us both to will and to do of His good pleasure. So the “will of God” is not by might, nor by power, but by His Spirit.

Stop and think about the new mercy which was given to us on this day. Today is loaded with benefits just for us. We have a wonderful Father who loves His children. David declared that HIS “lovingkindness is better than life.” We really don’t have life until HE reveals to us that knowing our LORD JESUS in a “face to face” relationship is life; HIS love and kindness are all wrapped in JESUS. And the mercy is given each day to experience HIM. Yes, look at what manner of love our Father has given us!

Demystifying The Mystery Of His Will

Because the Lord has given us His Spirit, we were told, “He has made known unto us the mystery of His will.”

[Eph 1:9a]

This adds new meaning to “occupy til I come;” which definitely suggests that the “body of Christ” has a “work” to be finished.

[Lk 19:13; Pastor]

Our commission is to “minister the Word, in power;” with signs following, stripping the “strong man” of his armour, and dividing his spoils; aka. to be used, by God, to make all of Christ's enemies His footstool, and bring in the harvest.

[Pastor; Lk 11:22; Mk 16:17; Heb 10:12-13; Matt 9:37-38]

Because we are “connected” to the Lord, by covenant; our default 'new creation' status is “joint heirs;” and all things are ours; and “He upholds all things by the Word of His power.”

[Pastor; Rom 8:17; 1 Cor 3:22-23; Heb 1:1-3]

Hence, we, too, must be about Abba's business; to “finish” the Father's work, which He has purposed in Himself, and chosen us IN Christ, before the foundation of the world. [Pastor; Eph 1:9b; 1:4]

Oh, may the eyes of our understanding be opened to “apprehend” that.

Man, God's Workmanship

There is a word [Engagement in the “Will of God”] that is permeating the body, soul, and spirit of the saints, in the midst of Grace and Truth, that is shifting our focus to “Not I, but Christ;” and Not my will, but “Thy will be done.”

[Gal 2:20; Lk 11:2]

You see, “We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” [Eph 2:10] This correlates with “A body hast Thou prepared me ...to do Thy will.” (Jesus, the Word, speaking to the Father, re. God's 'before ordained' purpose) [Heb 10:5, 7b]

After all, man was created “to partner/participate with God in the execution/exercising/establishing of His will”

[Pastor]

Jesus said: “...the words that I speak unto you I speak not of Myself: but the Father that dwelleth in Me, He doeth the works.” [Jn 14:10] In other words; to paraphrase, “I speak the words, Abba does the works.” And we were raised up to walk as Christ walked; as “ambassadors” of the will of God.

Dear Grace and Truth Family,

The Holy Ghost brought this to my attention several times during the course of this week: I am anxious for “several things.” There are certain situations and people that push my “anxiety button”, and it remains in the “on” position operating with full power for hours and even days at a time. My thoughts are crowded out by this “thing” and/or “person”, and I respond with the intent of making things happen or not happen. I am totally blinded to my fixation and thoughts which have exalted themselves in my mind above the knowledge of the Lord Jesus. Surely you know where I am, my brothers and sisters.

Yet we can still rejoice because our GOD visits us, and the Holy Ghost reveals to us what HE has been inspecting. …And HE will wash and cleanse us as well as teach and establish us by HIS WORD. …And it shall come to past that we who belong to HIM, being transformed into the image of our LORD, might testify to HIS work in us—being anxious for nothing but by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, we let our request be made known to HIM…and the peace of God shall rule our hearts. Our LORD says HE knows how to work all things together for good…

We can expect to hear then from our LORD concerning this matter of anxiety. HE knows just what we need and when we need it. All praise belongs to HIM!

What Are We Living For?

We, at Grace and Truth, were told that “We were saved to be a partner/”help meet” in finishing the works of God; to “occupy,” that is, to do kingdom business til He comes.”

[Pastor; Gen 2:18; Lk 19:13]

We were also told, “Part of (man's) identity is that man would be involved in (God's) doings.”

[Pastor]

“For it is God that worketh IN you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.”

[Phil 2:13]

In the Psalms, David (by the Spirit of God) asked,”What is man, that Thou art mindful of him? And the son of man that Thou visitest him?” cf.

[Heb 2:6]

The re-discovery is that, in His 'visitation,' the Lord is exercising oversight over us, to cause a considerable change in our circumstances; either for better or for the worse, “to bring us to an expected end;” that our joy might be full.

Can you hear the Lord saying, “Herein is Love, not that your mind is on Me, but My mind is on you? I know what I did, and what I AM doing.”

What To Believe?

That is the question; “to fortify, and refine our understanding of the things of the kingdom of God.”

[Pastor; Eph 1:18]

“There was something unique about Abraham's faith, above Abel, Noah, Moses, and others; that santified him as “the father of the faith.” Because it wasn't the dynamics of the steps (of faith) that Abraham took, but the nature of the promise Abraham received from God, that made his faith special; more so than the promise itself. For the promise was a “Seed,” who was Christ.”

[Pastor; Rom 4:16; Gal 17:7; 3:16]

“Too often, we pervert the dynamics of the kingdom to consume upon our own lust; believing God for everything but Christ; and there is no faith absent of the Lord, Jesus Christ.”

[Pastor]

The subtlty is when we consider believing God, our fleshly minds are riveted on “a result, or outcome,” or blessing;

like, What God can do for us, that we can't do for ourselves; unlike Abraham, whose response to God was to simply obey His voice ...without expectation for a “result, or outcome;” being fully persuaded that what God had promised He was able to perform.

“Abraham believed God (unconditionally).”

My Grace and Truth Family,

We have received a precious faith through the righteousness of God, not through our “righteousness”. In His sight our righteousness is as “filthy rags.” By our God’s own election and arrangement, the church has been made the righteousness of God by Jesus and HIM only. Now grace and peace have been multiplied to us (the church) through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. And beside this, HE adds to our faith virtue, and to virtue knowledge, and to knowledge temperance, and to temperance patience, and to patience godliness, and to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness charity—love. Our Father God has said that if these things “be in us”, and abound, then they make us fruitful in the knowledge of our LORD JESUS CHRIST.

By the working of the Holy Ghost in us, God’s people, it is so! Amen. Hallelujah!

The Shift - Heaven Came Down

The revelation of God with, IN, and among, man is the paradigm “shift” necessary to begin to comprehend the reality that now Emmanuel has come, and tabernacled IN His “body.”

[Matt 1:23; Col 1:27; Rom 12:5]

This is how we can “with the mind, serve the law of God,” and become the “portal for heaven's manifestation in the earth.” The Spirit said: “We're on behalf of God to man (as ministers of reconciliation); and Jesus (as our intecessor) is on behalf of man to God.” [Rom 7:26; Pastor; cf. Ezek 36:26-27]

Thus, God has come from “far to near” to take the burden of fulfilling the law of righteousness upon Himself ...

that we would be living “epistles to be known and read of all men;” unveiling who Jesus is among men; that mankind would “see Jesus,” walking in shoe leather...and be drawn to Him. [Pastor; 2 Cor 3:2; Jn 12:21, 32]

Lastly, I heard: “Faith is not How we get to (God), in order to connect; but, rather, acknowledging that God's connection (in and thru the Spirit of Christ IN us) is NOW!” [Pastor]

The Reason Of The Hope

God is not a man, that He should lie; nor the son of man that He should repent, or change His mind: hath He said, (concerning GTFI; even your gift, and calling), and shall He not perform His word? Or hath He spoken (concerning His purpose, and His plan), and shall He not make it good? [Num 23:15]

These words were put in the mouth of Balaam, concerning God's chosen people, when Balak, the king of Moab, tried to bribe Balaam to curse the children of Israel.

[Num 23:5, 12, 16]

Now, the Spirit of the Lord is saying to GTFI, “The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is the word of faith,” which has been engrafted into your DNA; to “Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father ...the Son, and of the Holy Ghost;” feeding and shepherding the Lord's flock into His rest.” [Rom 10:8; Matt 28:19]

The reason for GTFI's hope is that “He is faithful who promised,” and His promises, in Christ, are “Yea, and Amen;” and His “gifts and calling are without repentance.” Hence, we are “Moving Forward,” in 2012; forgetting those things which are behind, and “Pressin' On” toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God, in Christ.

[Heb 11:11; 2 Cor 1:20; Rom 11:29; Phil 3:13-14]

Where "Faith" Leads Me, I Will Follow

At GTFI, we were told, “The Lord initiates participation (in His divine nature) by evoking the response of faith; saying, “I didn't make man to be inanimate, I made man to participate.” [Pastor; 1 Pet 1:4]

Hence, we can hear; thru the ear of faith, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion (participate/have complete authority) over...all the earth (ie, the works of His hands).” [Gen 1:26; Ps 8:6]

Scripture records, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord,” and Jesus is, and was, that “good man;” whose steps we are encouraged to follow. [Ps 37:23; 2 Pet 2:21]

Without His Spirit causing, and provoking, us, we wouldn't be able to participate in His life (ie, be like Him), by the response of “faith;” for the Spirit will guide us into all truth. [Eze 36:26-27; Jn 16:13]

It is written: “Train up a child, in the way that he should go ...” and the Lord (by His Spirit) is leading us to a place of “trust;” that we would be enabled to bring our “feelings”(even our bodies) under subjection. [Prov 22:6; Nah 1:7; 1 Cor 9:27]

My Grace and Truth Family,

Our Lord Jesus has certainly manifested HIS LIFE in me over the recent days through what has become commonly known as the “Christmas season.” The working of HIS LIFE in me by the HOLY GHOST is what strengthened me to worship HIM and call upon HIM. HIS faithfulness in performing HIS Word in so many other situations was my hope and my wait. HIS present rule and reign in me were anchors for my soul, and by HIS SPIRIT I could rejoice. Though my body was ravished by weakness, sickness, and pain, there was yet another at work in me—a GREATER ONE. The reality of HIS union with me is the “mind” that caused me to rejoice as HE was “bringing me through the season”. The reality of HIS union with me is why I rejoice on this “Christmas Day.”

I’m grateful that HE was born to fulfill our FATHER’s purpose by HIS LIFE—now GOD with us—EMANUEL! Hallelujah!

Why He Came

He came to save us, from our sins.

He came to ransom us, from the fall from grace.

He came to translate us out of darkness, into His marvelous light.

[Col 1: 13-14]

He came to reconcile us unto God.

[2 Cor 5: 18-19]

He came that we might be conformed into His very image, and likeness. [Rom 8: 29]

He came to fulfill “a new covenant” with us.

[Jer 31: 31-33]

He came that the scriptures, that would be written of Him, might be fulfilled: “Christ IN you, the hope of glory.”

[Col 1: 27]

“Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a Son, and they shall call His name EMMANUEL, which being interpreted is, God with us.”

[Matt 1:23]

“Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable gift.”

Dear Grace and Truth,

Surely the grace of our Lord has been to us as HE has walked us through our trials and tribulations just in the past days. Remember HE said that we would surely have them; there is no escaping them. Also bear in mind that HE has taught us to worship HIM even while we are in the midst of our experiences. Right in the middle of the trial, HE calls us to assemble ourselves together to hear and receive strength to take one step at a time. With each step during the tribulation that HE causes us to take by the supernatural Spirit of God, HE brings back to our remembrance His specific WORD like “look up and count the stars.” HIS WORD is the lamp for our feet. Our believing HIM with the stepping is the victory that HE gives. HE takes us from step (faith) to step (faith). Our GOD causes us to triumph in Christ Jesus our Lord—trusting HIM, the ONE who has gotten us the victory. Praise and thanksgiving are to our LORD and our Father God!!

Our Lord truly encouraged me through the testimony of the saints while in North Carolina. Our God has manifested, in part, the vision given to His vessels there—the revelation of JESUS CHRIST who is in fact the LORD of LORDS and KING of KINGS. The Lord has magnified Himself! Glory to our GOD!

Faithful is HE who has called us forth as Grace and Truth Fellowship International, and faithful is HE who will do, even accomplish, what HE has called and caused us to believe.

What God Is NOT Doing

It is written that God was IN Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, NOT IMPUTING “OUR SINS” unto us; and, instead, hath given to us the ministry of the word of reconciliation.

[2 Cor 6: 18-19]

Do you mean to tell me that God is NOT mad at me; and He does NOT condemn me, for coming up short of His glory? For all have sinned.

[Rom 3:23]

The “word” declares: “But we are washed ...sanctified ...justified, in the name of the Lord Jesus ...by the washing of regeneration; and renewing of the Holy Ghost ...that we may therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain grace to help us in time of need.”

[1 Cor 6:11; Tit 3: 5; Heb 4: 16]

Aren't you grateful that the Holy Ghost is a lifetime renewable, non-cancellable, ever lasting benefit of your salvation?

[Rom 11:29]

All “sheep” need a “good Shepherd.”

[Jn 10:11]

In times past, Abba promised to give us “pastors;” (aka shepherds) according to His heart, “which shall feed us with knowledge and understanding;” and travail with us, enduring birth pains, until Christ is completely formed in us. “Thus saith the Lord ...I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor ...be lacking.” [Jer 3:15; Gal 4:19, AMP; Jer 23:4]

During this season of GTFI's Celebration, of the faithful inauguration, commission, and provision of our Lord Jesus Christ, we give pause; to reflect on the Lord's “gift” to us. “And He gave some ...pastors ...for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.”

[Eph 4:8, 11-12]

Our Pastor, Ernest R. Howell, at GTFI, is a conscientious, “sent,” overseer of the flock; who watches for our souls, and, whose hope and crown of rejoicing is that we be found in the presence of the Lord, at His coming ...and he shepherd's us toward that end.

Our 2011 celebration was a marvelous time of fellowship with HIM and with each other. HIS WORD delivered to us throughout the year has been quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword. HIS WORD to us has pierced even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit and of the joints and marrow, discerning the very thoughts and intents of our hearts. Yet HIS WORD is our life!

We were told that “Rest” remains a dynamic of living, that eminates from being “joined” (as a branch) to the Vine; a matter of the heart; “as the banch cannot bear fruit of itself."

“For he that is entered into His Rest, he also hath ceased from his own works.”

So, during your time of communion and worship, ASK THE SAVIOUR TO HELP YOU, (by His Spirit), to “cast ALL your care upon Him;” that you might “be anxious for nothing.”

Jesus said: “Search the scriptures; for ...they ...testify of Me. And ye will not come to Me, that ye might have life.” As we have already aforesaid: “Works Equals Death, while Rest Equals Life.” Come To Jesus.

Salvation, An Event Or A Journey

Jesus in the mornin,' Jesus in the noon day, Jesus at supper time.

We were reminded that God's purpose in bringing the children of Israel out of Egyptian bondage (aka darkness/“sin”) was to deliver them into a place/land(of “Light”/Rest) promised; where He could manifest/demonstrate His faithfulness, and favour in-unto-and through them, that He saves; in the midst of the other nations. [Pastor]

We underscore “out of” and “into,” to emphasize the “process” of salvation; being a deliverance “out of” darkness, and a translation “into” the kingdom of (God's) dear Son; as a precursor to Abba's admonition to us to: “Walk in the Light, (as children of the Light), as He is ...the Light.”

[Col 1:13; Eph 5:8; 1 Jn 1:7]

In like manner, our salvation is more than an “event” (a milestone in our life and times), but the first step in a “journey” in the earth; with Jesus, as “the author, and the finisher, of our faith.” After all, God is not a man, that He should lie; neither ...repent: Has He not spoken? And shall He not do as He has spoken?

My sisters and brothers at Grace and Truth,

Oh, enough has not been spoken of how our Father and Lord Jesus have satisfied us with “manna” and “living water.” HE has weaned us from the “breasts”, now preparing meals so scrumptious that we have to eat them slowly to savor every bite. HE knows what is good for us too, feeding us seasoned dishes over and over to provide the nutrients HE knows we need. It is wonderful how our Lord has even taught us how to eat meat—in small portions, chewing it well to allow the flavor to delight us. Yes, the food is absolutely delicious, and the water HE serves quenches our thirst.

“Oh, taste and see that our LORD is good.”

"Work" Equals "Death," "Rest" Equals "Life"

It is written: “For he that is entered into His rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from His.” [Heb 4:10]

You may never fully know what a relief it is to come to realize “Jesus Paid It All;” and that “grace” is God's “gift” for “works.” [Eph 2:8]

Knowing “the end from the beginning,” Abba foreshadowed the destiny of every believer; when He “rested from all His work,” on the 7^th day of creation. [Isa 46:9(b)-10(a); Gen 2:2]

And, after the foundation for our salvation was laid (which is Jesus Christ), then the invitation is extended: “Come unto Me, all ye that labour (work), and are heavy laden (burdened with a load of care), and I will give you Rest.”

Blessings to each of you! What wonderful “grace for grace” we have from our Father through Lord Jesus, as pertaining to the Holy Ghost. Let the testimonies come forth about the walk HE has given us in this new understanding of the working of HIS SPIRIT in us. Surely HE has manifested the “fullness” of HIS SPIRIT in us during this past week, or HE is causing a hunger like never before for the “filling” of HIS SPIRIT. So in worshipping HIM, we can just rejoice in the TRUTH for all HE has done in the fulfilling of HIS PROMISE, to baptize us in the HOLY GHOST.

My Grace and Truth Family,

Do you recall our Lord saying to us one Sunday morning that “He hears us”? Stop and consider this: the Lord God Almighty, our Father, hears us when we speak to Him. And “I”, the new creature, heard what He said to us.

What a strength I received from those Words! Since “hearing” Him, there has been boldness in me by the Holy Ghost to broach subject matters long avoided whenever I talked to our Father. I just did not have the confidence that I would be heard.

Now, let’s add what HE has taught us. HE manifests Himself by pattern in hearing us. HE attends to our cry and petition. HE proceeds to “do” according to the counsel of His own will while HE promises that all things work together for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. HE fights battles, gives victory, and causes us to triumph.

The greater portion of the blessing from what HE spoke was in my hearing HIM.

HE is so Wonderful! Blessings to you too—HE hears you!

Prostrate, The Position Of Deliverance

I heard the Spirit of the Lord say: “Prayer equals 'dying (to self) daily'... (and) forsaking (every care).”

We were told the fruit of our prayer's is “Every adversary, against our soul's – anger, hurt, bitterness, strife, frustration, depression, fear, offenses, etc – must “take a break!” (or, cease from troubling). [Pastor]

There is much to be said about casting “all” our cares on the Lord; because He cares for us ...and He fights for us; declaring Himself to be “an enemy to our enemies, and an adversary to our adversaries;” such that we can “Be still, and know that (He) is God (alone).”

[1 Pet 5:7; Exo 23:22; Ps 46:10]

On our knees we can then be joined to His will and purpose, and begin to see “all things” through His perspective, and revelation. [Pastor]

Dear Grace and Truth,

“Waiting on the Lord” has really become a cliché within our ‘church’ language. We often use this phrase as a ‘catch-all’ to provide an explanation or a reason which is supposed to defend us whenever ‘something’ has not happened.

On Wednesday night our Lord began to impart His ‘take’ on “waiting on the Lord”. Let us be sure to ‘hear’ the WORD again because HE is pulling down, plucking up, destroying, throwing down our old doctrine and fables, and planting a new and different understanding about “waiting” on HIM. The LORD says HIS WORD is our LIFE.

When We Pray

The Apostle Paul wrote: “I will that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without ...doubting.” [1 Tim 2:8] While, to the church at Thessalonica, he admonished: “Pray without ceasing.” [1 Thess 5:17]

King David declared: “Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and He shall hear my voice.” [Ps 55:17] While [v.18], paraphrased, could read: He will deliver your soul, in peace, from the battles that rage against you. [Insp] What a benefit. [Ps 103:2]

Jesus; who taught us how to pray, is our best model of a life of prayer; demonstrating His co-dependency on His Father's directions, and acknowledging His Father's sovereignty; in all things. [ex. Jn 5:19-20]

“When we pray, we are acknowledging “I will not be God” ...but, when we (forsake) prayer we are (usurping) God's authority (or, taking God's place).” [Pastor]

So, “Continue in prayer, and watch in the same, with thanksgiving.” [Col 4:2]

A Certain WORD Out Of Another Wisdom

It is written, concerning the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God: “How unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out!” [Rom 11:33]

But the Spirit says: “The Lord (God) knows He is invisible; that is why He purposes to give us “infallible (visible, tangible) proof” that He is.”

[Pastor; Acts 1:3; Heb 11:6]

The “Certain” word, of the Lord, in “Uncertain” Times is for the believer's ears only. Jesus said:

“Father ...Thou hast hid these thing from the wise and prudent, and ...revealed them unto babes.” [Matt 11:25]

You may ask: How does God communicate His wisdom? Through the foolishness of preaching:

“We speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained ...”

[1 Cor 2:7]

Then your believing that I am expecting you to bring My Word to pass does not ‘count’ either. I give you faith to BELIEVE ME! I give you faith to WAIT ON ME! You are the seed of Abraham-- my believers. NO, I do not speak to challenge you but to fully persuade you of My Faithfulness as your GOD. I have made you one with Jesus; now look unto HIM who is the author and finisher of this faith!”

A "Certain" WORD

In “Uncertain” Times, is like “a nail in a sure place;” that strengthens, and settles us; and establishes our goings.

[Isa 22:23; Ps 40:1-2]

Lately the body of Christ, along with the world at large, has been staring into the abyss of socio-economic upheaval; with chaos looming; like a dark, foreboding, cloud, on every hand.

Yet, the Spirit of the Lord is trumpeting a “certain” word in the midst of the congregation, saying: “Stand still, and see the salvation/deliverance/provision of the Lord!”

[2 Chr 20:17]

As the Lord causes our “eye to be single,” looking unto Jesus; we will rediscover the source of our trust.

[Matt 6:22]

David said: “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.”

God always provides.

[Ps 37:25; Gen 22:14]

Dear Grace and Truth Family,

Do you agree that learning to live in and out from the kingdom of God gives us “out of this world experiences”? During this “season” of prayer, as HE is drawing us to Himself, let’s take a seat at His feet. Remember it was Mary, the woman who can be likened to the church (the “woman”), who sat at the feet of Jesus to hear His Word. Martha, on the other hand, was cumbered about much serving. Our Lord Jesus contrasted the two women and spoke that Mary had chosen that “good part”. This “part” would not be taken from her, for “it” would go into her “insides” and reveal about a new life with her “husband”.

This encouragement is for each of us to yield to His drawing, for we have been delivered from the power (kingdom) of darkness and translated into the kingdom of HIS dear Son.

Hallelujah! I’ll sit beside you near His big toe (smile).

My Grace and Truth Family,

Do you ever find yourself enumerating “things” to the Lord—your job evaluation, your car note, your parent, your bank account? You might even name your troubles on your fingers just to let the Lord know that you are serious and specific about your prayer, as I have done before.

Then the Holy Ghost brings Job to mind. Which one of us has experienced more woes and calamities than he? HE goes on to list just a few of the circumstances that Paul found himself walking through, more than we can fathom. Eventually the question comes, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?” HE assuredly answers, “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through HIM who loves us.”

When we are counting “things” which are happening, “things” do not separate us from our FATHER’S LOVE which is in CHRIST JESUS our LORD! Hallelujah!

Who Are You: Part 2

In our last post we shared how the Caterpillar, in Alice in Wonderland, challenged Alice with that question. But we we didn't point out the smug, self-absorbed, pompous, highminded attitude that the Caterpillar exhibited; when he said to Alice: “Whoo – Are – Youuu?”

It puts me in the mind of “the great dragon ...that old serpent; called the Devil, and Satan, (aka) the tempter” who so arrogantly challenged our Lord Jesus, in the wilderness; saying: “If thou be the Son of God ...” prove it; until Jesus dispatched him, saying: “Get thee hence, Satan:” [Rev 12:9; Matt 4:1-11]

When you know who (and whose) you are, you will be quickened to be able to resist the Devil, and every lying tongue that rises up against you, and hold fast to the profession of your faith. [Jas 4:7; Isa 54:17; Heb 10:23]

We heard the Spirit say, in the sanctuary: “If you don't know who Jesus is, you won't know who you are.” [Pastor]

Your identity is “Christ in you, the hope of glory;” and we must decrease, while He must increase.

Who Are You?

Reflections on “Identity Theft Among The Household Of Faith;” a word, out from the kingdom, ministered to the body of Grace and Truth.

When confronted by the Caterpillar, in Alice in Wonderland, Alice was asked that question; to which she replied “I hardly know, sir, just at present – at least I knew who I was when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been 'changed' several times since then.”

Changed, indeed. It is written: “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are 'changed' into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” [2 Cor 3:18]

We are 'changed,' such that: “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; YET NOT I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.” [Gal 2:20]

In the sanctuary, we sing: I'M NOT MY OWN, I BELONG TO JESUS. HE PURCHASED ME; I'M ALL HIS. BOUGHT WITH A PRICE; THE BLOOD OF JESUS. I'M NOT MY OWN, I BELONG TO HIM.

Do you know who you are?

Dear Grace and Truth Family,

I was hearing the work of the Holy Ghost as our pastor cried out to our Father on Wednesday. Words were uttered which literally buried us with Christ, our old man being crucified with HIM, in order that our body, which is the instrument of sin, might not serve sin. The Holy Ghost called out sin that so easily besets us; He rebuke our laziness and lackadaisical responses and attitudes with HIM. We were reproved for “high mindedness” and “acting” like we know more about HIM and HIS way than HE does. The Holy Ghost “threw down” vain understandings of “holiness”.

What a mighty Father God! HE has given us the Holy Ghost to help us in our infirmity because we don’t know how to pray as we ought. The Spirit Himself made intercession for us with “groaning” to HIM by the voice of our pastor. We have found ourselves too weak and even unlearned to make the utterances which we have desired. HE gave meaning to what Paul said, “For I delight in the law of GOD after the inward man.”

This season of prayer is ordained for us. Our LORD knows what we need. Come Wednesday and let us all receive from this “time” of sanctification unto HIM.

Dear Grace and Truth family,

My, how we have referred to and counseled others by posing this question, “Is there anything too hard for the Lord?” As long as we are sitting in the driver’s seat hauling a truck load of victories and shouting “hallelujah”, our response comes so quickly and easily—“No, there’s nothing too hard for the Lord”. However, when we are being driven as we sit in the back of the truck, feeling every bump in the road and seeing arrows which point to detours, the answer can be debatable. At this point, the real question we now ask is whether or not the Lord wants us to experience this “hard thing”.

In our midst, sisters and brothers, the question remains the same as it did to Abraham. The Lord’s purpose and His way embody the answer—“No, there is nothing too hard for God!” HE declares His power, and we declare our trust in HIM. We have been placed in a position now—in Christ Jesus—to know the exceeding riches of His grace; to rejoice in the truth that HE is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. Fatherless No More

IN Christ we are “no longer aliens/orphans/bastards/or outcasts;” but “now are we the sons of God.”

[Eph 2:12; 1 Jn 3:2]

It is written: “Behold, what manner of love the Father hast given unto us; that we should be called the sons of God.” For Abba has “predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself.” We are not our own, we belong to Jesus. As the saints of old would sing: MY BODY BELONGS TO GOD (3xs) MY WHOLE BODY BELONGS TO GOD. Selah.

[1 Jn 3:1; Eph 1:5]

In the garden (of Eden), when God foretold that: although “the seed of the serpent would bruise the heel of (Christ), the Seed of the woman; (Christ), her Seed, would (fatally) bruise (the serpent's) head;” Abba had our redemption/adoption in mind.

[Gen 3:15; cf 1 Jn 3:8]

Because God has cast Himself as “a Father of the fatherless,” and “because we are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, Abba, Father!”

[Ps 68:5; Gal 4:6-7]

Consider this: a definition of “father” is one who establishes and originates. Our God called Himself, “Father” and brought us into a relationship with HIM as HIS children by HIS first Son, Jesus. Isn’t this reality awesome: HE established and originated us!

Ponder and meditate on these things:

Our God is our everlasting FATHER.

Our FATHER knows what we need before we ask Him.

Our God is Father of mercy.

Our fellowship is with the FATHER, and with His Son, Jesus Christ.

We can cry to our Abba (daddy), FATHER!

Hallelujah!

This is the day which HE has made. Let us rejoice in our FATHER’s DAY!

Dear Grace and Truth Family,

Here is an experience that our Lord gave to me that will edify you, my sisters and brothers:

I bowed my knees in the early morning with so many thoughts elevated in my mind. I had assessed my financial and physical needs and came to the conclusion that I was in “pretty bad shape.” I succumbed to the “spirit of heaviness”, and for a time I was mute before the Father. Discerning what state I was in at that moment, I proceeded to lift my hands to offer my body to HIM. Before I knew it HE quickened me to speak in simplicity, “Lord, I praise YOU; Lord, I worship YOU.” Then I asked the Holy Ghost to give to me what I should pray, and this is how HE responded: “Pray for Wendy. Pray for Ms Gladys. Pray for Jerry. Pray for Elder Green. Pray for Kerry. Pray for Lori…” HE called each one of my Grace and Truth family by name and strengthened me to utter to our Father concerning you. The time went quickly, and when HE released me to rise and prepare for the day’s course, I realized that not one word had been uttered to HIM concerning “my” financial and physical “need.” However, I clearly heard the Holy Ghost say, “BUT your GOD shall supply all of your need according to HIS riches in glory by CHRIST JESUS.”

…And it came to pass that the pain and discomfort I felt before prayer that morning were no longer manifested in my body. …And it came to pass that a crisp $100.00 bill was placed in my hand before the day ended. Hallelujah!

Our Daddy’s love is awesomely demonstrated by His wonderful salvation given to us by JESUS CHRIST!

BE ENCOURAGED to TRUST HIM WHO LOVES US!

Something I Heard About Grace

Just when you think you know all about God's grace, He speaks a word to shed more light; where there is darkness.

Take Ps 51:1-7,9 for example. After wednesday night prayer, Pastor shared a brief, but profound, thought from this Psalm of David's repentance; that reflected David's grasp of the depth of his “covenant” relationship with God.

When confronted with his sin (of adultry and murder), by the prophet Nathan, David (“a man after God's own heart”) confessed: “I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.” Ever felt like that? David further said: “Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.” Selah.

[1 Sam 13:14; Ps 51:3-4]

In the opening verse of Ps 51, David threw himself on the altar of God's mercy, and; by revelation (of the Spirit), cried: “BLOT OUT my transgressions.” And, in verse 9 David besought the Lord to “blot out ALL mine iniquities.” Wow, think about it, a clean slate: “Behold, old things are passed away.”

[2 Cor 5:17]

Only when you understand the immutability of God's “covenant” commitment to save you, “to the uttermost,” and to wash all of your sins away, can you appreciate the completeness of His grace to you.

The Thinking Of Faith

“Faith is not what we feel, it is what you think.”

Because of the Roman Centurian's faith in Christ's “authority” to heal his servant just by speaking a word; what Jesus heard him say was the “fruit” of the logic of the Centurian's thinking.

[Lk 7:1-10]

You see, what the Centurian said, and why he said it, was the result of what he had heard about Jesus; and how his faith had reckoned (processed) that “with God nothing is impossible.”

[Pastor; Lk 1:37]

After all, “Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word.”

[Rom 10:17]

Out of the abundance of the heart's persuasion (faith) the mouth speaks.

[Matt 12:34]

So let this same mind/thinking (of faith) be in you.

Let Us Pray

Per Pastor’s request, we share with you the transcript of the Spirit’s intercession for the education of our children; through this vessel, on the 2011 National Day of Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Show us your ways, that we may walk with You.

Show us your ways, Lord; we put our trust in You.

The cry of our heart is to love You more, to live with the touch of Your hand …to grow stronger each day.

[cf Ps 27:11(a)]

As the “bride” of Christ, our prayer is that You would “cause us” to so walk (in subjection to You) that our children (even if they stray from Your word) may, without the word, be won by our faithful behavior; that we might teach them Your way, by “example.”

[cf 1 Pet 3:1-4; 1 Tim 4:12]

Jesus, You commanded us to “Go ye therefore and teach all nations” …to “Lay up Your words in our heart – and soul; and teach them to our children.” Today, we beseech You to strengthen and quicken us, the more, to fulfill that “great commission,” and take responsibility to keep Your charge (to us); and not sacrifice the education of our children to Caesar. [Matt 28:19]

Thus we pray; along with Your servant David: “Reveal Your work unto us, Your servants, and Your glory unto our children, Your heritage; and let Your beauty (even Your glory) be our portion; and establish Thou the work of our hands” …that our labor would not be in vain…

in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Jesus told His disciples, on more than one recorded occasion, that He would be crucified, and raised from the dead in three days.

[Matt 16:20-21; 17:9, 22-23; 20:17-19; 26:31-32]

In his letters to the church, at Corinth, Paul wrote: “As in Adam all died, even so IN Christ shall all (who are dead, in trespasses and sins) be made alive.” For “If any man be IN Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new”

[1 Cor 15:22; Eph 2:1; 2 Cor 5:17]

Isaiah prophesied: “His soul (was made) an offering for our sin …and He bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.”

[Isa 53:10, 12(c)]

John, the Baptist, called Him: “The Lamb of God: which taketh away the sin of the world.”

After His resurrection, Jesus showed Himself alive; first to His disciples, then “of above five hundred brethren at once.”

[1 Cor 15:3-6]

Bottom line: “If Christ be not raised, our faith is vain; (and we) are yet in our sins.”

[1 Cor 15:17]

The "Captivity" Of The Lie

The Apostle Paul put the conflict in perspective, when he wrote to the church at Rome: “I delight in the law of God after the inward man (spirit): But I see another law in my members (flesh), warring against the law of my mind ...bringing me into captivity to the law of sin; which is in my members (flesh).”

[Rom 7:22-23]

And that revelation, by Paul, was followed by this eye opening question, to the church at Galatia: “Are ye so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

[Gal 3:3]

Sounds like the evidence of the “works of (the lie of) the devil;” which is the reason that “the Son (the truth) of God was manifested, that He might destroy/root out/throw down” the lie (and the liar). [1 Jn 3:8]

Jesus promised that “When the Spirit of truth is come He will {overcome the lie, and} guide you into all truth {ie. displace the lead, and the leaven of the lie}.”

[Jn 16:13]

To be held captive is to be “beguiled, bewitched, charmed, infatuated, enthralled, fascinated, hypnotized,” ...drawn away of your own lust, by the influence of “the lie.”

[Pastor; Jas 1:14]

Jesus said: “If ye continue in my word (truth), then ...ye shall know (Me) the truth, and the (Spirit of) truth shall make you free {from the lie}.”

[Jn 8:31-32]

Dear Grace and Truth Family,

During the course of this week as a particular “giant” situation confronted me, the Lord made “HIS way” very apparent. After all, I’m always asking for “HIS will” to be done.

Now HE has spoken to us (part of His body at Grace and Truth) quite pointedly that “HIS way” reveals “HIS will” step by step. It does not matter how much we “lay before Him”, fast, and pray in the “spirit”, our Father God does not respond to us by waving a magic wand to erase the “giant”. If we would tell the whole truth, our intent for fasting and praying is to get Him to “do away” with the “giant” rather than to get us strengthened in faith. (Refer to the teaching and hear again what He spoke to us about the Lord walking us in steps.) HE has said that the “just shall live by faith”. “Living by faith” involves committing the “giant” to our Father God again and again, trusting Him to bring His Word to pass abundantly, above all we ask or think.

…and it came to pass that I was strengthened by the Holy Ghost to wait upon Him with every matter; this is “HIS way”. Our God declared His faithfulness step by step. We are strengthened to live by the faith of the Son of God—our Lord.

The “giant” is now only an inch taller than I (smile).

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Our LORD JESUS is the way, the truth, and the life! Be encouraged with these words.

"The Lie"

My mind goes back to the garden (of Eden), when, in a fit of lustful curiosity; spawned by “the lie,” Eve (in Adam) took of “the tree of knowledge of good and evil” (vs “the tree of life”) and died the death (became separated, in spirit, from God). [Gen 3:4-5; 2:17; 3:24]

The revelation, for me, was the insight that (in the beginning) God literally “clothed” (came upon) Adam by His Spirit; evidenced when Adam named all the animals, and prophesied of the “woman:” “This is now bone of my bone, and flesh of my flesh ...therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.” [Gen 2:19-20, 23-24]

But this covering (clothing) of God was lost (taken away) when Adam disobeyed the Lord, and succumbed (yielded) to “the lie;” evidenced when they tried to fabricate their own cover. [Gen 3:6-7]

And “the lie” was “that man would not be separated from life; when, in fact, he would; and he was ...and the end of “the lie” is death (alienation).” [Pastor]

Down through the ages “truth” speaks, saying: “The thief cometh ...but for to steal ...kill, and to destroy: I AM come that (man) might have Life …choose Life (Christ).” [Jn 14:6; 10:10; Deu 30:19]

Dear Grace and Truth Family,

Isn’t it amazing how the LORD has literally “reconstructed” the content of our prayers. Because of the transformation taking place in the mind, we see HIM now from a different view; our mentality has been changed. The image HE has given us, HIS church, reflects another reality based on HIS TRUTH. This reality displaces our own which is based on a lie. Our LORD has done a wonderful thing!

Also with this transformation comes a new mentality of who we (the church) are in Christ Jesus. The Gentile ideas about how our Father God looks at us are washed by the water of the WORD. This is an impossible work by man, though we “try to become better people and better Christians” so God is pleased when HE looks at us. With our GOD, though, all things are possible, and HIS salvation is an ongoing process of learning our LORD JESUS and our “new life” in HIM.

Thus we speak and converse with HIM according to the revelation of “who” HE is and “who” HE has made us. Our prayers are no longer sessions for begging and pleading, weeping and despairing, making empty promises and confessing our “mistakes.” Our prayers are now by HIS SPIRIT—full of exaltation, adoration, and veneration. We make boast of HIS power and might. We declare HIS promises and faithfulness. We rejoice as we fellowship with our LORD JESUS and FATHER GOD.

We are thankful for our “reconstruction”. Yes, HE has done a wonderful thing! Hallelujah!

Dear Grace and Truth Family,

Hear this: We approach our Father boldly with full assurance that the ministry of the Lord Jesus was completed for us who believe. Our redemption included forgiveness, justification, regeneration, and sanctification—all taken care of by the blood of Jesus. Moreover, we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, not by our works but by His work. “What shall we say to these things? If GOD be for us, who can be against us?”

Our LORD continually sends us HIS WORD to strengthen us to believe HIM. So in our coming together on Wednesday and Sunday, we pray that our ears are opened to hear HIS WORD. The Holy Ghost is at work in us to strengthen and establish us in HIS WORD for us to live by “every WORD that proceeds out of the mouth of God.”

The Glory Revealed

It is written; and made notable by the famous composer George Friderick Handel: “Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the crooked (places) shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: and the GLORY of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.”

[Isa 40:4-5]

Speaking of the kingdom coming, Jesus said: “When the Son of man shall come in all of His GLORY, and all the holy angels with Him, then shall He sit upon the throne of His GLORY.” [Matt 25:31]

In the meantime, we (who believe) have been left behind [Jn 17:15] to be reflections of (and witnesses to) His GLORY. [Jn 17:22; Rom 8:18; Matt 5:16]

The Apostle John declared (by revelation): “Behold, what manner of love the Father has given unto us; that we should be called the son's of God;” to “show forth the [GLORY] of Him who has delivered us out of darkness into His marvelous light.” [1 Jn 3:1; 1 Pet 2:9(b)]

So then, let your light so shine, that men may see His good works IN you, and give the GLORY unto God.

Be Not Terrified, But Worship

In the midst the Lord said: “One of the purposes of the trials {tsunamis, earthquakes, shakings, distress of nations} is to give clarity to what He is speaking.”

[Pastor]

Then He said: “When ye shall hear of wars and commotions {thunderings, lightnings, men's hearts failing them for fear}, be not terrified: for these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.”

[Lk 21:9; Rev 8:5; Matt 24:6]

Instead, the Lord said “these things” are actually His response to our “prayers” {Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done...}, which “ascended up before God, as incense”

[Rev 8:4-5]

This answer to our prayers is in fulfillment of His promised judgments to “shake heaven and earth”...as an entree to the re-appearance of Jesus Christ; to “judge the world.”

[Heb 12:25-29; Acts 17:31]

When the vials of wrath were being made ready; we are given a glimpse of the overcomers, who “have gotten the victory over the beast, and his image, and his mark, and over the number of his name; standing on the sea of glass {mingled with fire}, having harps of Gold,” worshipping and giving glory to God for His judgments.

[Rev 15:1-4]

We thank the Holy Ghost who puts us in remembrance that our GOD, even our Father, is f-a-i-t-h-f-u-l. HE keeps His c-o-v-e-n-a-n-t. HE makes His p-r-o-m-i-s-e-s good. HE can not lie; whatever HE speaks, HE brings to pass. That which HE declares is not too hard for HIM to perform. HE is GOD ALMIGHTY!

Now we are the recipients of a covenant made by the blood of Jesus Christ. Each promise is sealed. HIS WORD and HIS COVENANT do not change; they are immutable! We can TRUST our GOD!

[The Promise] Is Of Faith, That It Might Be By Grace

Not of “law,” nor of “works,” that any man can boast; to the end that the promise might be “sure” (stable/valid/guaranteed) to all the seed; which is of the “faith of Abraham.”

[ Eph 2:8; Rom 4:16]

The Lord,(our Abba), is the only original Promise-keeper.

So much so that, “because He could swear by none greater ...to prove the immutability (unchangeableness) of His counsel, He sware by Himself; and confirmed it by an oath.” Therefore “let us hold fast the profession of our faith without waivering; for He is faithful that promised.” [Heb 6:13, 15-17; Heb 10:23]

And, we know that “nothing shall be able to separate us from the love of Abba, which is in Christ Jesus” ...for we have been joined to Him (made inseparable) by His promise (covenant). [Rom 8:38-39]

One cannot stress enough the certainty (surety, dependability) of God's “word” (of promise): “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but not God's word.” [Matt 24:35]

Faith Without [Trials} Is [Fruitless]

Works equals trials, and trials equals works; otherwise “faith” is groundless (without a basis for witness, or testimony). Even so “faith,” if it is not “tried (worked out) by fire,” is dead (on arrival); like a fish out of water (sucking air). Get the picture?

[Jas 2:17; 1 Pet 1:7]

How else can the Lord “present us faultless before the presence of His glory” except He purify us first? And how can He purify us before He purges (or cleanses) out the dross (impurity); and how can He purge out our dross without applying the “fiery” pressure of trials to our “tin” (alloy)?

[Jude 23; Mal 3: 3; Isa 1:25]

Fiery trials purify, but they also perfect; and make us “partakers (partners) of Christ's sufferings;” which is why Christ gave His life for us, that He might qualify Himself to cleanse (purify) us with the washing of water, by His word; that He might present us to Himself, a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle... without blemish.

After all, we are not our own, we belong to Jesus; He purchased us, we're all His.

[1 Pet 4:12-13; Eph 5: 25-27; 1 Cor 7:23 cf 1 Pet 1: 18-19]

For this reason I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ and pray…that HE would grant you…to be strengthened with might by HIS SPIRIT in the inner man…that you may be able to comprehend (through His working and strengthening you to endure the trial temptation) with all the saints in this common salvation, what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height of God’s faithfulness…and what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us who believe… and to know the love of Christ.”

The Testimony Of The Trial

Job said:“When He hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.”

[Job 23:10; cf Jas 1:12]

Christ so loved His bethrothed church (wife to be) that He gave Himself for her; that He might sanctify her, and cleanse her with the washing of water by His word; that He might present her to Himself a glorious bride, not having spot or wrinkle. [Eph 5:25-27]

AFTER the promise of everlasting life, to whosoever believe in Christ, now comes the Devil (as God's appointed opposition); to be used to prove that “What therefore God has (made one) joined together, let no man (separate) put asunder.”

[Jn 3:16; Matt 19:6]

God's “eternal purpose,” which He purposed in Christ, is “that He might make known the riches of His glory (which is Christ IN us) in dealing with the vessels of His mercy; which He has prepared (before the foundation of the world) for His glory.” [Eph 3:11; Rom 9:23-AMP]

The Testimony Of The Trial is that GOD IS ABLE to keep you from falling, and present you faultless before the presence of His glory, with exceeding joy. To Him be glory, and majesty, dominion and power, both now and for ever, Amen! [Jude 24]

My Family,

Our Lord has given us a unique experience in our assembling together on Wednesday evenings. The approach of question and answer has resulted in a greater understanding about the way of God, particularly concerning trial, tribulation, and trouble. HE says to HIS people: “With all your getting, get an understanding.”

If you don’t usually attend on Wednesday, I believe you will be blessed when you come and hear how the Holy Ghost is teaching. If you come occasionally, I believe you will profit by clearing your calendar once again to come. Whatever your case, as our Lord would provoke you, HE will also strengthen you to walk in the provocation.

Dear Grace and Truth Family,

We are truly a blessed fellowship of believers in the Lord Jesus. Our GOD, even our FATHER, has given us a pastor according to HIS heart, which has fed us with knowledge and understanding about HIMSELF. Pastor was known by God before he was formed in the belly of Rev. Howell. Before he was delivered from her womb, GOD had sanctified and ordained him a prophet to Grace and Truth. When he opens his mouth, the WORD of the LORD comes to us.

We can also reflect over the years of how FATHER GOD has used pastor to shepherd us unto our GREAT SHEPHERD, the LORD JESUS. The vision of JESUS, LORD of LORDS and KING of KINGS has been made plain, and we have grown in HIS grace, being filled with the knowledge of HIS will in wisdom. Pastor was made a minister according to the plan and dispensation of GOD for us, to fulfill HIS WORD. Even the mystery of HIS “will” is now made manifest to us, HIS saints at Grace and Truth. Yes, the mystery of HIS “will” has been sent to us out from Pastor’s mouth—Christ in us!! Giving thanks to our FATHER, WHO has made us fit to share the portion which is the inheritance of the saints in the LIGHT—our Lord Jesus, we receive our pastor.

The "Fire" After The "Promise"

When the scripture is shouting that the “word” (of faith and promise) “is tried” [2 Sam 22:31; Ps 105:13-21], but the Lord is a buckler (stabilizing force) to all them that trust in Him; we (who believe) should be enabled, by the Spirit of the Lord, to gird up the loins of our minds to stand (in Christ) in the midst of the “fire.” [2 Pet 1:13; Eph 6:13-14]

“Here a little, there a little, line upon line, line upon line,” the Lord is making a solid case for the purpose of His speaking; to teach us the obedience (and response) of faith in all of our sufferings. [[Isa 28:10-11]

Lest we forget, we are being kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ...“That the trial of our faith ...though it be tried with 'fire,' might be found unto praise and honour and glory; at the appearing of Jesus Christ;” so that, after you have suffered a while, the Lord will “make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, and settle you.” [1 Pet 1:7; 5:10]

God has spoken a “sure word” of promise to “the seed;” that “the end of our faith would be the salvation of our souls.”

[Rom 4:16; 1 Pet 1:9]

After He speaks, the Lord watches over His word to perform it, in the vessel whereunto He spoke it. [Isa 55:11]

Dear Grace and Truth Family,

I just want to remind you of what our Lord has spoken and how HE has made it such a reality. HE has said to us “…that the sufferings (the ‘bad and hurting’ experiences) of this present (today) time are not worthy (don’t even rank) to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”

What’s the “glory”? In the midst of pain and tears, HIS SPIRIT in us provokes honoring HIM as our GOD in worship. What’s the “glory”? With all the disappointment, HIS SPIRIT in us provokes us to yield to His will and not ours. What’s the “glory”? HE brings us to Himself as believers and strengthens in the persuasion that HE is working all things together for good. What’s the “glory”? HE is “working” in us to respond to His love according to His purpose. What’s the “glory”? HE manifests Himself through us while we are yet suffering. How GREAT is our GOD!!!

Q & A

I find it intriguing how the Holy Ghost can take one “word,” to one congregation (worldwide), and divide it “severally” to each member as He will. [1 Cor 12:11]

This observation was clearly demonstrated during an unusual Wednesday night Q & A session, at GTF: entitled “Understanding Grace & The Issue of Faith.”

After hearing the answers to questions like: What precedes our believing?(grace), What do “faith” and “works” have in common? (activity), What is the “issue of faith?” (God's “will” or “ability”), What is the prima facie evidence of the “ability” of God? (creation), And What did Jesus do to counter the effect of sin? (He gave us His Spirit); I was stunned with the straightforward “simplicity” of the insight unveiled.

It was an eye opener to see what understanding was being gleaned by whom, among the congregation.

My Grace and Truth Family,

Our God, who is our Father, is mindful of us in every way. HE says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” HE speaks “His mind” in the midst of our experiencing the direct opposite of what HE has said. Principalities and powers are still in operation as HE speaks. Yet our Lord Jesus has spoiled principalities and powers, and HIS reign and rule is far above. We have been hidden in Christ Jesus, the ONE who has gotten the victory over these rulers of the darkness of this world.

Yes, our Father God was very mindful of us when HE sat us in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Yes, there is deliverance; there is healing; there is hope! Our Lord Jesus made it possible; without the love of our God, it’s impossible.

We worship our Father and Lord Jesus Christ in thanksgiving for HIS lovingkindness and tender mercy—for having us on HIS mind!

What Is Man?

What Is Man?

That is the question, and these are some of the answers:

...the “figure” of Him that was to come; through “a body prepared” ...a creature; the “spitting (bodily) image” of the Creator ...a prototype, a mini-me (of the Godhead)...a 'distinct order of creation.'

[Rom 5:14; Heb 10:5; Gen 1:26; Col 2:9]

Man is like God; but, relatively speaking, he is a “little lower than” God...made to be co-dependent; to “live ...by every word that comes out of his Creator's mouth.” For His Creator's “words are spirit, and they are life.” [Deu 8:3; Jn 6:63]

Man was made “naked” (vulnerable); that he might depend on the Lord (His Creator) to be His covering, and his provision. ie. He is all my righteousness, I stand complete in Him “...His banner over me is love.” Made to be the “house” of God. [Gen 3:9-10; Song Of Solomon 2:4; Heb 3:6]

note. The word of the Lord said: “I AM with you, to be IN you; that, as your words 'ascend' unto Me, My promises will 'descend' unto you.” Selah.

The Issue Of Faith

While hearing the “word” go forth, I thought of many examples where His “faith” is tried, in our lives...like:

“Ask, and it shall be given ...seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you” [Matt 7:7] “Whosoever shall say unto (their) mountain ...and shall not doubt in (their) heart, but shall believe that those things which (they) say shall come to pass: (they) shall have whatsoever (they) say.” [Mk 11:23] “...whosoever believeth (in the only begotten Son of God) shall have everlasting life.” [Jn 3:16] ...but then the question arises: do we believe God is able?

The Holy Ghost said: 'If we (tend to) stagger in our faith, it is not because we don't know God's WILL {that's been clearly spoken throughout the scriptures}; (it's because) we don't really believe in God's ABILITY.'

Which begins to explain why we draw back at the commands and promises of God; because we must needs be gripped (the more) in the persuasion that “what He has promised (said), He is able to perform (do).” Pastor put it this way: “He Say, He Do!” And so, the Lord continues to labor (via “the washing of the water of His word”) to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, and unbelief; and strengthen us, in the faith, to receive His doings.

Dear Grace and Truth Family,

What grace our God has given for us to awaken in the year—2011! I recall that whenever I thought of the year “2000” as a young girl, it seemed so far-fetched. Now I am alive to that “reality”, along with the numerous changes which have occurred with it.

Yet, there is another “reality” that I have come to embrace as a believer. This other “reality” is called the kingdom of God, and you and I who were chosen by Him have been translated into it. We have not heard all nor seen all that is in the kingdom, but we access to all things by Jesus, the Lord and King. He rules and reigns even above the “reality” of 2011.

Come what may with each day in 2011, this “reality” is only temporary. The foundation of God stands sure, and the Lord knows them that are His in the kingdom. Heaven, earth, and 2011 may pass away, but the kingdom of God, our reality, remains.

The Greatest Gift To OUR LORD

Today, in this earth we celebrate the birth of our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. During HIS actual birth, wise men from the east came to worship the KING with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh (Matthew 2:1,2,11). Not only to them was revealed the birth of our LORD but also to shepherds who were tending their flocks witnessed the Glory of the LORD about them made haste to see the child our LORD and left glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen (Luke 2:7-20).

Now that our LORD's birth, death, resurrection and ascension on high have been fulfilled, we know today that HE is seated on the right hand of ABBA our FATHER and is crowned with Glory and Honor.

As we celebrate today may we bow down and present our gifts..... our soul, heart, mind and body. Let's Worship the KING in Spirit and in Truth! Psalms 104:1...Bless the LORD, O my soul, O LORD my GOD, Thou art very Great; Thou art clothed with Honour and Majesty. AMEN!!!!

Grace, The Purpose That He Purposed

From creation, to the “new” creation, to the rapture; even from the beginning to the end of time, God's ulterior motive was to reveal Himself, and make an open display of the administration of His “grace.”

When we begin to grasp that “grace” is the “good pleasure of (God's) will,” to adopt us IN Christ; then we will be able to “taste and see that the Lord is good...” and the man/woman/boy, or girl that places all their trust IN Him will be blessed.

[Eph 1:5; Ps 34:8]

Just as God was pleased with the man (of flesh) that He made (in the garden), in His image, and after His likeness; His purpose was to give His “word made flesh” (in Whom He was also well pleased) dominion over the works of His hands.

[Gen 1:26; Jn 1:14; Matt 3:16-17]

It is written that He, who has “all power” in His hands, was manifested “to destroy the works of the devil;” and make known unto the church the manifold wisdom of God, according to Abba's “eternal purpose that He purposed IN Christ (the Son)” ...that our lives would be “hid IN Christ, IN God” “...that we might also reign with Him.” Now that's “grace.”

Dear Grace and Truth Family,

The grace of our Father and Lord Jesus is unto us with this great salvation HE has given. As HE walked me through this week’s circumstances and situations, which brought trials and tribulations, the grace (purpose of our Father) was for me to experience overcoming and triumph. As a matter of fact, the Holy Ghost reminded me that HIS grace was sufficient and that the virtue in HIS provision of grace would take me step by step to HIS victory. (It really was not me stepping but “us”.). To be honest, with the greater understanding and awareness of what our God has provided in HIS grace, the condemnation (blaming myself for God not moving on my behalf when I needed HIM) which has beset me so often in times past no longer had its dominant place. The Holy Ghost did HIS job to quicken me to HIS truth again and again—HE is at work in me both to will and to do of HIS good pleasure. Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

Worthy is our God to be praised and adored! Let’s worship HIM!

We Are His Workmanship

Chosen, adopted IN the beloved; we have been saved by His “grace, through faith.”

We were told that to believe God (as Abraham did) is a “gift” of divine assistance; and without Him we could do nothing.

[Eph 1:4; 2:8; Jn 15:5]

If “faith” is the “gift” of God, then “grace” is God's purpose. And our lives are the canvas of God's creation, IN Christ, unto “good works;” foreordained, as God purposed, that we should walk in them. And we have been assured that 'what He creates He maintains.'

[Eph 2:10]

There is something about “the good pleasure of His will” that overrides, and over rules, any individual effort on our part. So, the Spirit of the Lord says (in the vernacular) “I got this.” Got it?

[Eph 1:5, 11]

And if our salvation is “by grace,” then it is “no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace.”

[Rom 11:6]

Dear Grace and Truth Family,

Our Father has provided someone wonderful and beautiful for us—the Lord Jesus, our Light. In the middle of darkness, which describes a system operating apart from the lordship of Jesus, we have Light. Light is our new life and the system we operate by in the kingdom of God. We need the Holy Spirit from our Father of Light to live in the Light, and He has provided just what we need.

So with our discouragement, disappointment, and dismay which work out of darkness, our God and Father gives hope through Lord Jesus, the Light, in every situation. HE surely reveals Himself as our Light when we wait on HIM. Let us then praise our GOD and worship our LORD in waiting because in all things we desire for HIM to have the preeminence! We can arise and shine, for our LIGHT is here!

My Grace and Truth Family,

Indeed the “word of the Lord” to us, as a part of the Body of Christ, comes to past. Last Sunday as HE spoke to us about the “worship of faith”, the Holy Ghost clearly described what faith involves when it is sent to us. HE emphatically stated that every word (logos) is spoken deliberately to us. Our LORD intends for HIS spoken “word” to stay on our minds and not to be forgotten. In our hearing, HE deposits faith inside us. The “word of the Lord” is to be joined with us—one with us. Then we participate with the “working” of the “word” by acknowledging “what” HE has said in our worship unto our GOD. Yet the Holy Ghost cautioned us that the “word” is not “faith” until the humility is manifested with this mind: “not my will, LORD, but Yours.”

The LORD walked me through this entire “process” last week from one situation to another. The “word of the Lord” was accomplished in me and brought forth as “faith” when these “words” were spoken out of my mouth to HIM in worship, “be it unto me, Lord, according to your word!”

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Glory to our God with thanksgiving for the “working” of HIS WORD in me—and in us!

Dear Grace and Truth,

Blessings to you from our Father and the Lord Jesus! Another year has past, and we remember the faithfulness of our covenant-keeping God. Everything that we experienced since our last celebration was in His plan. According to His purpose, all things worked together for good. Who has separated us from the love of Christ which we have and know today? Did our tribulation throughout the year separate us? Did our distress? Persecution (whatever we thought this meant)? Famine (our lack of)? Nakedness (our shame)? Peril (our dangers)? The sword? This is my testimony: OUR GOD IS WITH US! Death, sickness, principalities, powers, things from the past, things in the present—NONE of these things separated us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord!
